Summer Essentials for Kissably-Smooth Skin

It's officially Summer and what better time to talk about the new skincare from Earth N Moon? Summer brings rising temperatures and with rising temperatures there is a greater chance of becoming sun burned and your skin being dehydrated, damaged, and unhappy.

Skin needs to be nourished in Summer just as it needs to be nourished in Winter. Our line of lotions can certainly nourish and moisturize skin. Made with shea butter, avocado oil, and sweet almond oil, our lotions are vitamin-rich and packed full of nutrients to help nourish skin to the max. This is a rich, non-greasy formula so it absorbs quickly. Our lotions also contain essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances which also makes them better for your skin than leading name brand lotions. Our newest scent, Fresh Citrus, is scented with citrus essential oils. So, you'll want to use caution in the sun and avoid prolonged sun exposure when you have this on. If you do not use caution with citrus essential oils and some mint essential oils, prolonged sun exposure can cause burns. So, for best results, I would recommend using lotions with citrus essential oils at night or when you will not be out in the sun most of the day.

You can use this lotion on your body, hands, and even feet. However, for rough, dry, cracked, and calloused feet, I recommend my new Beautiful Feet Foot Cream. It contains luxurious oils such as Baobab Oil which is packed with vitamins and nutrients. The best part about Baobab Oil is that it doesn't clog pores. There may be a future face cream featuring Baobab Oil. It is expensive, but it is a fabulous oil that absorbs quickly and moisturizes skin for a healthy look and feel.

Naturally, Honey Lip Balm

Also, with the increase in temperatures, sensitive skin such as lips, will need protection as well. Our new, all-natural Naturally, Honey lip balm is perfect for protecting lips from the elements. Although it contains real honey and natural, yellow beeswax, it is not considered flavored. Honey in lip balm is used to moisturize and heal lips as well as being a disinfectant for lips.

So, yes, you can avoid dry, dehydrated skin in the summer! Make sure you drink plenty of water, get plenty of rest at night, and make sure you use a lotion and lip balm daily. Also, to avoid sun burn, use a sunscreen with the appropriate SPF. I use at least a 30 on myself and a 50 on my daughter. Make sure to avoid prolonged sun exposure as well. Even though you are applying sunscreen regularly, the heat can still dehydrate you fairly quickly without you knowing right away. Try to stay cool and remember your skin needs all the love it can get. After all, skin is the largest organ of the body!

Check back with us as we introduce some new items in our next post! We will also feature a new item for our item of the week on Sundays.

Cheers!
Kristine
